We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), a denomination that believes God has called us into a love relationship with God’s self: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Because God has loved us, we love others.

 

God has called us to be Church — not just for ourselves — but for the sake of the world around us. Therefore, the Holy Spirit sends us from our church services each week to love others just as God through Christ Jesus has accepted, forgiven
and loved us.

 

Sunday morning worship at First English is a celebration of God’s love and forgiveness. We meet with joy, eager to experience God’s presence through music, prayer, readings from the Bible, a sermon and Holy Communion. All believers in Jesus — regardless of denomination — are welcome to participate in Holy Communion here.
